A pub has stood on this site for many a year… rumoured since 1803. It has seen many owners and face lifts along the way and landed in the hands of Neil and Olivia Greenwood in 2014.
Inside The Shakespeare you will find a relaxed ambience, friendly staff and a great range of high quality wines and spirits along with some locally crafted real ales.
We serve food every day from Monday to Friday, all day on a Saturday and a cracking roast on a Sunday (note: closed Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday lunchtime).
You can enjoy a drink in our courtyard garden, a sun trap on a warm afternoon and fully covered over the wet winter months.
